Terms and privacy

In short: the prototype is free, you owe nothing, I may decline or take a while when requests pile up, I make no promises about the result, and your details are used only to reply to you. The rest of this page says the same thing more carefully.

1. Who is behind this

nullfranken.ch is run by a private individual, not a company. No commercial register entry, no VAT number, because nothing is being sold. For anything at all, including data requests, write to hallo@nullfranken.ch. Mail sent there is read by one person.

2. What is being offered

A redesigned prototype of one page of your website, usually the homepage, built with your own text and images. It is a demonstration, not a finished product. There is no obligation on either side: I may decline a request without giving a reason, and you may walk away at any point without owing anything.

3. Capacity, waiting and declining

I build these alone and in my own time, so how many I can take on varies from month to month. When several requests arrive at once they go into a queue and the wait is longer than the usual week. I will tell you roughly where you stand rather than leave you guessing. If the queue grows beyond what I can honour, I close the form for a while instead of collecting requests I cannot deliver.

I may also decline your request outright. The reasons vary: no capacity this month, your site is already good and I would have nothing useful to add, the job is plainly larger than a single page, or it involves content I would rather not work on. I do not have to give a reason, and a refusal is not a judgement of your business.

So nothing here is a promise of delivery. There is no deadline, no guaranteed turnaround, and no place in the queue that can be held, bought or transferred. Since none of this costs you anything, a delay or a refusal leaves you exactly where you started.

4. What it costs

Nothing. No fee, no deposit, no later invoice, no subscription. Sending the form does not create a contract for paid work and does not commit you to anything.

I do not accept payment for this. If you send a voucher or a small gift anyway, be aware in advance that I will not use it myself. It is passed on to friends or to children. Nothing you send changes what you receive, and it buys no priority.

5. Your content

Your logo, text, photographs and brand remain entirely yours. I use them only to build your prototype, and I do not license, sell or pass them to anyone else. By sending the form you confirm you are entitled to have that material used for this purpose. If you ask me to stop using it, I remove it and delete the prototype.

6. The prototype itself

Once I hand it over, the code is yours. Use it, change it, give it to your own developer or agency, publish it. No attribution required and no permission needed.

I may show the prototype as an example of my work, including on this page. If you would rather I did not, say so and it stays private. That applies before and after handover.

7. No warranty

The prototype is provided as it is. It is a design concept, not audited, production-ready software. I make no promise that it is free of errors, that it is secure, that it is accessible to every standard, that it complies with any particular law, or that it will improve your business in any way. Before putting it into real use, have it reviewed. To the extent Swiss law allows, I accept no liability for loss arising from its use, other than for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

8. What data is collected

Only what you type into the form:

• Business name and web address
• Your name and email address
• Your optional note about the site
• Which language you used, and the time of submission

Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which records the page, the referrer and a coarse country, and sets no cookie and no identifier that follows you between sites. There are no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark preference, which never leaves your device.

9. What happens to it

It is used to answer you and to build your prototype. Nothing else. It is not sold, not shared, not added to any mailing list, and not used to contact you about anything unrelated.

Technical providers process it on my behalf: the site is hosted on Vercel, submissions are stored in a Supabase database, and a notification is sent to me through Telegram. Depending on their infrastructure, data may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the EU and the United States. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when the page loads.

10. How long it is kept

Submissions are deleted twelve months after the matter is closed, or immediately if you ask. Ask by email and it is gone the same day, with confirmation.

11. Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law you may ask what is held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, and receive a copy. Write to the address in section 1. There is no charge and no form to fill in. If you are unhappy with how a request was handled, you can raise it with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

12. Changes and applicable law

These terms may change; the date at the top shows the current version. Swiss law applies, and the ordinary Swiss courts have jurisdiction. Consumers keep any mandatory protections available to them where they live.
